Contemporary style is very clean lines and made from metal, glass and or painted wood. Traditional can be either casual or formal – it depends on the accents or accessories that are added. Country is a light finish wood, usually oak.

Sometimes it can be over whelming to choose a set but it you narrow it to what meets your style and ideas, it will be easier. Beside the different style to choose from, the shapes are also another thing to think about. Round and square shapes will provide plenty of space in the center of the table which is great for large groups. Round usually works much better in small rooms. Many will drop down on one side for more added space when not in use. Round tables are limited in styles as square is more popular.

Buy a oak set and it will last for a very long time, and they are fairly easy to keep clean and maintain. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and a classic. Some of the finer pieces need to be for occasional use only as they are delicate like some of the antique sets are.

Say you have narrowed down your choices to a couple of different sets. Think about if this is a piece that will go with the other furniture around it in the home. Which one will fit best in the area and how will it be arranged. Are there more pieces that need to be added for additional setting.
